Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,
Here's a video of me walking through some initial ideas I have for the tag directory. . Here too are the files for you to take a look at. Essentially, I think we should allow users to add tags and sub-groups in the context of where they'd like to add them, I agree that they should be able to drag a sub-group or tag anywhere and I think that we need to create a better visual hierarchy by using containers and more distinct visual rows. Let me know what you think so far

I think everything looks great. My comments are the following:
  • if we're adding "expand all" functionality on the front-end, this should be specific to each category or sub-group, because expanding the entire tree will probably cause loading issues when the tree gets large.
  • If Anil says we can only add tags to sub-groups, we'll need to suppress what is presented on the front-end, because it creates an unnecessary layer to the tree that will be confusing to users.
  • I'm fine truncating the sub-group and tag names. Perhaps make it so that the entire name is presented when the cursor is hovered over the truncated name.
  • I like the drag-n-drop element for changing the organization of the tree. Please create user stories, because we'll want to develop requirements when dragging between different categories and sub-groups.
