Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

Attached is our UX and Design approach to give you an idea of the upcoming tasks and deliverables as we put together the design for P3.

I will be following up with delivery dates and a rough timeline in the coming days.

Hi Stephen,

The above design approach looks good to me. My only comment is that the design mock-ups for mobile are not necessary for the protoype stage of the product. The priority is to generate a demonstrable product for a desktop environment. Having said that, if there is an advantage to design and build the mobile components of the application now, rather than wait until we proceed with the full product, I am open to making the investment now rather than later.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan,

Since you'll be presenting the prototype in desktop-only, you may not need mobile developed at this point.

However there are some arguments for designing mobile at the same time as desktop. Two significant arguments are:
  • if, while you are presenting the prototype on desktop, your audience asks about mobile, you're prepared with mockups
  • designing mobile and desktop at the same time will deliver a more cohesive experience down the road; the UI for small screens won't feel like an afterthought
In my opinion, it would be worth having 2-3 phone or tablet mockups of the client-facing UI at the ready when you are pitching the product.

Thanks
Megan

Hi Megan,

That's enough justification for me. Let's proceed as you've proposed above: create 2-3 phone or table mockups of the client-facing UI.

Thanks,

Morgan
