Document Comparison Template

Hi Martin Laporte, CTO at Tologix Martin and Hiren Patel Hiren ,

Please see updates to the document comparison template here, which address:
  • Items from the call
    • Adding 5 more documents to test:
      • Slider not working past 9 documents (ex. pin document, scroll to document 6, unpin, the slider doesn't work well)
    • Change styling of the “run text comparison” button to look like edit button (fully orange, not just outline)
    • Unpin, pin, scroll slider - then half the document appears
    • Pin, reorder, unpin while in reorder, then pin in reorder, then toggle off reorder, then the "previous" button is enabled
  • Items from the email
    • When checked "View Text Differences" checkbox then after "Run Text Comparison"  button viewed as normal button but it will make orange while hover on it. It will by default orange while  "View Text Differences" checkbox will  checked 
    • document is in unpin state. Click on move next and reach to last then last column should not be blank.
    •  Pin document then after move to next until last column is blank. Click on Reorder document. Again click on reorder document and back to compare document view. 1/5,2/5 and 3.5 documents display but Move Next button should not be disabled.
    • Pin document. Move next until last column blank. Unpin Document. Click on previous button. Document move to next direction with half portion of document and Next button should not be disabled.

I have performed testing on previous bug criteria and relevant user story criteria (based on user stories written for "user added text", "text differences" and "pin document" features). If there are any bugs that are found by Sharmila Srikanth, Quality Assurance Engineer at Tologix Sharmila or the team, please post them here so we can action them. 

Additionally, relating to the icons request for the mobile view, we need some more information to action on this please. Do you need us to update more HTML/CSS on the template to fit yours? Or how should these icons be delivered?

As I have found some issues while testing on different scenarios. Kindly check the below cases and recordings.

Issue_1: 
  •  The first position document is moving over the screen by holding it. 
    • When clicking on 'pin' and 'unpin' the first document then hold the document and move it. 
    • Also when clicking on 'Add a Text to Compare' then 'cancel' it. Then the first position document will move by holding it.
  • Also the next document(second position) of the newly open text document from 'Add a Text to Compare'. (steps: click on 'Add a Text to Compare' > hold the second positioned document and move it.) 

  • A 'Pin' already enable (or we also can pin the document) on a newly added document from 'Add a Text to Compare' without clicking on 'Save Changes'!

Issue_3:
'View Text Differences' checkbox is still marked even when you 'unpin' the document.
  • Steps: Click on 'pin' the document then click on the 'View Text Differences' checkbox then again click on 'unpin' the document. after that whenever you again 'pin' on any document, by default 'View Text Differences' checkbox shows marked.
