Document workflow management

Hi Morgan,

I saw your comments in the storymap requesting a workflow management tool. I agree that this will be very valuable to your process and it will help with system visibility.

I have a couple of questions before I can start designing this though:

Will documents be assigned to users for editing or is the assumption that all editing will be done by the user who uploaded the file?
- If documents are assigned to users for editing will there ever be multiple users editing one document?
- If multiple users who decides when editing is complete and assigns the document to users for tagging?
Once tagging is completed who will approve and publish the document?
- Will the document be assigned to a user for approval or is it someone's responsibility to look for documents with completed tagging?

Here it is again:

· Will documents be assigned to users for editing or is the assumption that all editing will be done by the user who uploaded the file?

· I foresee in most circumstances that editing will be done by the user that uploads the file; however, I would like to have the ability to track who was assigned that task, and then reassign to another person if necessary.

· If documents are assigned to users for editing will there ever be multiple users editing one document?

· We only need to have one person assigned to a particular task at a given time, and this task can be reassigned to other users as necessary.

· If multiple users who decides when editing is complete and assigns the document to users for tagging?

· Any user with appropriate permissions should be able to mark a task complete.

· Once tagging is completed who will approve and publish the document?

· An admin user assigned to the task will review, approve and publish the document.

· Will the document be assigned to a user for approval or is it someone's responsibility to look for documents with completed tagging?

· There will be one person who will review the tagging work, approve it and publish the document.
