TOLOGIX - ISLG Public & Members Site Design

Release planning

Hi Anil,

Morgan is aiming for deployment of all of the updates on April 9th which is a few days before the conference.

There will be more feedback to-dos added today, but do you feel we are on track to meet this deadline? It would be great for us to do the second round of testing starting April 4th.

Let us know where you feel we are right now with progress.

Thanks!

Ryan

Hello Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan   and Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

We are currently working on the feedback items and will try to complete all feedback items before 4th April so that you can recheck the website. We are also planning to work during weekend to complete the to do list.

Regarding new registration flow:
Please suggest if we can go live with existing(old) user registration flow as new registration flow may require more time for development as well as testing. We can integrate new design(css) on existing registration page for now.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Ok. Thanks Anil. Note that it's a hard deadline to get the new site launched on April 9th, so meeting the April 4th deadline for staging is necessary to give us sufficient time to migrate things through the dev/production. If you are concerned about meeting the deadline, please let us know, and we'll see if we push some to-do's until post-launch.

Note that I have a few more items of feedback to add later today concerning Terms & Phrases, Full Text Search and Treaties & Rules.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hello Morgan,

As I suggested above, please let me know if we can push the new User Registration flow until post-launch. We can apply new design to existing User Registration page for now and after launch we can work on new flow.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Hi Anil Vaghela Anil ,

I'm fine with keeping the existing registration flow until after launch if this will save you a significant amount of time. However, we'll need to make adjustments to the form fields on the Start Your Trial page to accommodate the existing system, including
  • Username
  • Password
  • Re-Enter Password
  • Some type of anti-bot validation.
If Stefanie Gibson, UX Researcher at Industrial Stefanie and Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan  are fine with implementing this temporarily until after launch, please proceed.

I'm fine with this approach as well if required to meet the deadline. For the anti-bot validation I recommend Google ReCaptcha (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/). It's industry-leading and they've done a lot of work to make it accessible to users with disabilities.

Great. Using the Google captcha sounds good to me. Should we implement this for the contact us form as well, or does that matter?

Morgan
Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial
Yes, I'd recommend we add it there as well.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
OK. Sounds good. Anil Vaghela Anil , please include it on the Contact Us page as well.

Hi Anil Vaghela Anil ,

I've completed my testing of the new site, and submitted all the feedback in to-do's necessary for getting the site launched. Let us know if there's anything that you're concerned about completing on-time (in addition to the registration flow), and we'll determine whether we can modify the requirements.

Thanks,

Morgan

Thanks Morgan,

We will review all to dos and let you know if we require to push any task until post launch.

Regarding registration flow:

We don't require to adjust for password, captcha etc as we are going to use the existing registration page/flow available on www.islg which includes all the text fields. I have attached screenshot for the same. We will change the design of this page as per the new design theme. Hope this is fine.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Hi Anil,

As long as we can bring the existing registration page into compliance with the new design theme, I'm fine with using it until after launch. Please proceed.

Thanks,

Morgan
