We're excited to get your project started. First off, allow me to introduce you to Basecamp and how we have found success using it.

- Messages - instead of sending emails, we will use the Message Board to send each other messages. You will still get an email notification in your inbox to alert you that a message in Basecamp has been sent. You can either just reply to it from your email directly, or reply to it in Basecamp. Either way, there will always be a record of it in Basecamp so we never lose track of our threads.
- Attachments - We will keep all files stored neatly in the Docs and Files section of your Basecamp project. You can attach files to a message or you can upload it into a folder in the Docs and Files section. As the project manager of this project, I will routinely clean up this section so everything is stored within intuitively named folders.
- To-Dos - We rarely leave a meeting without capturing action items that need to be assigned to either you or me or someone else on the project. The To-Dos section of your Basecamp project is where we will capture all action items that have dates and an assigned person to it. You can attach notes, files, comments and anything details you want to your To-Dos.
- Timeline - We will use Basecamp to update you on the timeline of your project. This will either be done in a message or by using the Schedule section of your Basecamp project.
- Agendas + Meeting Notes - Agendas will be shared in advance of our meetings as a Message in the Message Board section. Meeting notes will later be shared in the same thread as the agenda so it will be easy to see what was discussed.
House keeping rules:
- We kindly ask that you do not use the "Pings" feature. This is an instant, direct messaging feature which may sound great, but it actually removes the conversation away from your Basecamp project, which means no one else can be added to it or reference it in the future. If you would like to have a discussion outside of Basecamp, just email or call :)
- Always make sure to keep me, your trusted project manager, included in all discussion threads.
