Adding non-numeric entries in the Block Property ID field

Notes
Hi Martin Laporte, CTO at Tologix Martin ,

Using UN/0110/06 as an example.  I'd like to make this section fall under one ID tag: Annex (pages 7 to 22 of the PDF). These pages will not be needed for Analysis, but I think it's best to give them an "Annex" ID tag just in case.

1) I am not able to enter "Annex" into the ID field.
2) Can I give the same ID to an entire section, even if I add the sections as several boxes through the converter tool?

Hi Irit Weinfeld Irit ,

The current logic "hard-codes" the ID prefix based on the selected Block Type. But we could add a way to override this if needed.

In terms of using the same ID in several blocks, it is possible and it will not cause any error per se, but it's probably not best practice to do so.

What would the purpose of "Annex" ID be? Who would use it? Would it be referred to from other areas of the document?

Thanks,
-Martin

Hi Irit Weinfeld Irit ,

I pushed a new version out to address this issue. Can you test it out and report back?

2 changes were made:
  1. There's now an "override" checkbox by the ID field (just labeled "X"). If you check this, you will be able to enter anything you want.
  2. If the "override" checkbox is not checked, the app will put the prefix for you (like before), but you will now be able to enter any digit, not just numbers.

Thanks,
-Martin

This works! I'm wondering if we need the prefix for app.islg data capture reasons.  I'll reach out on Monday about this.
