For the template above, I'm not a fan of the way is page is currently laid out. The user needs to scroll down to find the filters, which are the most important features of the tool. What's your suggestion for improving this? Perhaps minimizing the search options and linguistic options? Or reducing their font sizes?
Perhaps this warrants a brief discussion next week.

I don't like how the linguistic options are unavailable when the according is closed. Can't we modify this so that the options are available (including the number of fuzzy type characters) without the descriptions, similar to the search type options?
