Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah ,

The quality of the image files above is really low (22 x 22 pixels). I'm concerned how these images will present when the users are presented with a larger version of the image in the Country profiles. Do we have larger versions that we can use (e.g., 370 x 370 pixels - as we've recommended for People and Organization images).

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

We resized the flags to 2 sizes: 185px and 370px.

Here is the zip file:

I also imported the flags into a google doc next to their name. Unfortunately, the only way I know how to pull them into a spreadsheet is to use a script in google sheets that references the file ID and displays the image that way, so if it is converted to Excel you'll get an error.

Here is the spreadsheet:

If there is a different way I can format this that will better work for you, please let me know.

Looks great, Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah . However, I think we can only use one file per country. Should we use the the 370px version?

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh and Ketan Sondarva, Technical Project Manager at DevIT Ketan , note that the country flags will need to be added to the relevant country master list entries when the migration is complete. Would a Google sheet similar to what Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah provide above be the best way to provide you with the relevant files to upload to the database? Note we still need to compare the ISLG country list to the one above.

Thanks,

Morgan

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh and Ketan Sondarva, Technical Project Manager at DevIT Ketan , to clarify the above, we are talking about ensuring all the country master list entries have the appropriate image file uploaded to the Flag field:

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

185px is the same size as the ones in the mockup. You would probably be okay using this size. The 370px would be better at a larger size for retina and high-definition displays.

Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah ,

Can we use the larger size for both? I'd prefer to use the higher quality version so that it displays clearly within the Country profile page, but would this display properly in the smaller version as well across the application, or will this slow loading times?

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

I just checked with Patrick and it should be fine to use the larger size. It will display properly on smaller screens and look sharp on larger. It shouldn't effect load times as it is not a heavy header image or anything like that.

Ok. Great thanks Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah .

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh and Ketan Sondarva, Technical Project Manager at DevIT Ketan , let's briefly discuss today how we'll integrate these images into the application as part of the migration.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah ,

Following-up on the call today, could you please produce a new version of the Google Sheet that includes a column listing all the filenames for the 370px versions of the flag images.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah and Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

I've cross referenced Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah 's list above with our the Country master list above, and there are few issues we need to resolve:

(1) Missing flag files

Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah , I've highlighted countries in yellow where flag files are missing. Could you please add these to the zip file and provide the filenames:

(2) Countries missing from Country List

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , countries marked in green need to be added to the Country master list:

(3) Remove Non-Investment Treaty dispute

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , further to the instructions in the ISLG Data Migration Map: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ho_yBR8gfCIqivmvkPy_hISkDGozdWsXxn46ImeQ-V4/edit#gid=0
the Non-Investment Treaty disputes need to be removed from the Countries master list:

(4) Same flag used for multiple countries

There are two instances where we want to use the same flag file for two different country entries:

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , could you confirm whether this is possible, or whether we'll need to create a duplicate file with different filenames for each entry.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

Can you confirm you would like flags for the former countries listed above (Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and USSR) or should we just provide flags for the outstanding current ones?

Savannah

Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah ,

Yes, we have a number of older cases where former countries are parties to the dispute or parties to the treaty, so having the flags would be great if they're available.
