Mapping Meta-Fields Across the Product

I've started a document to map meta-fields across the product so that we have better visibility into consistency. I have made some changes beyond what we've talked about because once I saw this, I could see that there was opportunity for more consistency.

Hi Stefanie Gibson, UX Researcher at Industrial Stefanie ,

I've added some changes to the spreadsheet above and highlight additions in the yellow. Note that I tried to emphasize that whenever a dispute or dispute document appears to a user, they should be able to view all the details concerning that dispute/document.

This will need to expanded and refined, but hopefully this give an idea of the direction I want to take this.

Thanks,

Morgan

Thanks Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan   - Would you be opposed to just displaying this information once a user has opened the document? This will mean that when users are exploring tools like the subject navigator, they'd be presented with a lot of information.

We were trying to approach this through the principle of progressive disclosure so that we offer the larger set of details 'upon request' and that we only provide these extra details once a user has indicated interest. This means that most users can easily proceed with tasks without this added information but once they show interest and open a document, they can expand to see all of this information.

I just worry that it will become too overwhelming and in our initial research sessions we didn't uncover users needing more information while browsing the research tools.

Let me know what you think!

I've been playing with using tabs on the cards as well - so that we're exposing less information all at once so not to overwhelm. Let me know your initial thoughts, but do let me know how open you'd be to displaying some of this at the document level instead. I do think it's a lot.

Hi Stefanie Gibson, UX Researcher at Industrial Stefanie ,

I agree. As long as the applicable data is only a click or two away and easily accessible, I'm agree with the approach you've outlined in the screenshots above.

Thanks,

Morgan
