Dispute Document Types
Hi
Morgan
I wanted to touch base about how dispute document types will be working in the new design.
Based on your comment re: dispute doc fields I want to make sure we're on the same page:
"Yes, we would like to modify this from the existing application. We would like the option to assign more than one type to the document. Also, we want the option to be able to modify the dispute documents types in meta field lists."
It is my understanding that based on the selection of document type we will display the corresponding fields for data capture. Admins will have the ability to modify dispute document types available and their fields within the meta-fields area. (see: https://invis.io/6AOHL2Q9J8U#/324633583_Document_Details_Page)
However, based on the Fields/Data Capture Mapping spreadsheet I am not seeing the fields required for each dispute document type. For now are the fields the same across dispute document types?
Also, in the case where some document types have different fields we will need to come up with a strategy for assigning multiple document types. Which is certainly doable but I want to confirm that it is needed.

On the first point concerning multiple document types, I think we make it so that if a certain document type is assigned to a document, that will enable the applicable customized fields for that document type. If another document type has other applicable customized applicable fields, those would be added as well. In other words, the customized fields could be added as different document types are assigned to a document.
On the second point, I think we're not seeing differences in document types yet, because we haven't touched on the legal analytics fields yet (see https://3.basecamp.com/3691577/buckets/5559242/documents/1013335036). I think we'll start seeing distinctions in fields types when we start integrating fields relevant to these aspects of the application.
Thanks,
