TOLOGIX - ISLG App Rebuild

ISLG Front End Design Progress

Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

In the below link you will find the revised wireframes for the F/E Research Tools. Please note these are static wireframes and can be navigated using your '<' '>' keyboard arrows or by accessing the grid of screens at the bottom right of your screen :
These wireframes include:
  • Revised Menu behaviour/structure
  • Revised Card styles for all research tools
    • Please review these closely to ensure they present the correct information for each research tool
    • Additionally we will need your assistance for where to find, and documenting the full data and related documents for each as it was not apparent to me based on the master list (ie: full proceeding details)
  • Revised Research Tools Interface
    • We have included document views for all research tools
    • These include the various dropdown states, etc.
    • we will need your assistance for where to find, and documenting the full data for each (ie: Expand all document details)
  • Revised Treaty/Rule & Document Treatment
  • All feedback from comments on initial prototype
  • Global Search
    • We have mocked up our adjustments to global search. This includes behaviour in-line with search within the research tools (pop-over instead of dedicated page)
    •  and adjustments to labels (search => find, locate instances)
We have started and will continue to build out our user stories documenting all features. This should allow us to identify any remaining gaps in design. As we build these out we will share with you for review and attach all relevant wireframes.

Great. Thanks Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa . I'll start reviewing these later today, and insert my comments into the wireframes as necessary. Let's plan to go through things during our call on Wednesday.

Hi Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa ,

As you've seen, I've started reviewing and commenting on the wireframes. I'm hoping to continue going through things this afternoon, and hopefully have everything finished later this evening.

Also, for documenting the data, a lot of this will come from both the Meta Data Field Map and the Case Analysis Data Structure. The latter provides all the various data fields we want to create for the purposes of the legal analytics tools. We can use this to fill in the gaps on the admin site as well.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa ,

I was thinking about something last night, and it occurred to me that there might be a problem with the design of the Dispute Documents section: https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/J5QSGXWXM4R#/screens/349628252
In the current ISLG application, we only incorporate disputes into the collection when there is an applicable dispute document publicly available, which is why the current Dispute Documents tab is structured to focus on the dispute documents. However, in the new version of ISLG, we are going incorporate disputes (and the applicable data) even if there are no dispute documents publicly available. As a result, we need to ensure users have a way to browse through disputes without focusing on the dispute documents. How do you suggest we deal with this situation with the current card design in the Dispute Documents? Could we create a view that allows you to browse by dispute, rather than by dispute document? In addition, if we make this change, I wonder if we should change the name under the document library from "Dispute Documents" to just "Disputes"

Also, I'm aware that browsing by dispute will be available within Legal Analytics, but I think users would expect this functionality within the Document Library.

I'm available for a call today if you want to discuss.

Thanks,

Morgan
