Hi Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa . The plan looks good. My only comments are the following (the document is view only mode)
  • Copy Citation: we want to adopt the UCIA guide for citations across the system: https://globalarbitrationreview.com//digital_assets/48d017e1-b1a1-4ba7-973b-4268f46ee251/UCIA.pdf. We should ensure that the requirements are able to produce output that matches the guide requirements
  • September 2019 Launch: I would like to have the new ISLG launched in September 2019. That means we need to have the new application released in June, so that our data capture team has a few months to perform the necessary data capture for legal analytics. We need to adjust the timeline to meet these deadlines.
We can discuss more tomorrow.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

We discussed the plan for the ISLG front-end today and if you notice in the document, have updated the delivery dates for the various milestones.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YmUzzQ2dnW0TzOBOCYeb-Xw-obci1oLo7HaJqKFwtbE/edit?usp=sharing

Briefly:

- P1 & P2 items are now to be completed by end of Feb
- P3 items by early March
- The marketing site would be addressed in spring/summer 2019

Let me know your thoughts and if these target dates work for you (and also let us know if you have any concerns Anil Vaghela Anil )

Also Anil Vaghela Anil : apologies if i missed it, but are you able to share your team's development timeline/plan? Knowing ahead of time before you will start a new feature would be beneficial in helping us plan out the work, and this way we can have the front-end items ready when you need them and keep the momentum going, and avoid any bottleneck situations. Let me know what you think.

Thanks!
Stephen

Hi Stephen Ceresia, Industrial Stephen ,

The updates target dates look reasonable to me.

Anil Vaghela Anil and Devaang Bhatt Devaang , please take take a look at the plan and add your elements to the timeline/plan as Stephen Ceresia, Industrial Stephen  has suggested. Note that there is flexibility on my part to add more resources as necessary.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hello Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

At this point it would be difficult to estimate the development timeline as user stories are not available for all the tasks however if we assume the existing ISLG for timeline then also it would take around 22 man-months of development which can be done in 7 months using 4 developers. We suggest to add 2 more resources to speedup the development to complete it in 5 months.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
OK. Sounds good Anil Vaghela Anil . I suggested in another Basecamp comment that we have a call next week to discuss PDF to HTML conversion. Why don't we discuss resourcing during this call as well. Let me know if you and Devaang Bhatt Devaang are available at 10am Ahmadabad time on Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Thanks,

Morgan
Anil Vaghela
Hello Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

Devaang Bhatt Devaang  is outside of the office from tomorrow, please suggest if we can do this meeting in next week.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Hi Anil Vaghela Anil and Devaang Bhatt Devaang ,

Could you let me know when you're both available. I can do early morning calls on Tuesday and Thursdays, and then in the evenings at 8:30pm Vancouver time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I'd prefer to talk this week if possible. Time is running on, and we need to get things organized.

Hi Morgan,

I am extremely sorry for not being able to make it this week and I would have loved to get on and help move things.

We are currently on our Annual Management Retreat and would be back Saturday only.

Request you to please make this early next week. Many apologies for this.

HI Devaang Bhatt Devaang ,

I understand. Let's schedule the meeting for next week. Would Tuesday, February 19th at 8:00am Vancouver time work? Please confirm, and I'll send a calendar invite with details.

In the meantime, please ensure that you review Industrial's work plan: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YmUzzQ2dnW0TzOBOCYeb-Xw-obci1oLo7HaJqKFwtbE/edit?usp=sharing, and produce a similar document from DevIT's perspective that we can integrate into a broader project document for all the teams. As I mentioned, the plan should work towards a June 2019 application release date, and should be resources accordingly.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hello everyone,

Further to my call with Devaang Bhatt Devaang and Anil Vaghela Anil this morning, DevIT has developed the following work plan for the ISLG Rebuild project:

Note that each period represents 1 day, and the plan only incorporates what is already known of the design requirements (e.g., we still need to develop and finalize the front-end design).

During our call scheduled on March 7th, we need to discuss how we're going to integrate both the Industrial and DevIT plans into an overall work plan that will allows us to effectively track and monitor progress of the project. I assume we'll do this through a combination of adding more details to DevIT's spreadsheet above, along with specific timelines and deadlines within TargetProcess cards and features. Please give the issue some thought, and we'll finalize our approach during the meeting.

Also, it's important to note that three additional DevIT resources are going to be deployed on March 1st. I will post a separate message on this issue.

Thanks,

Morgan
