ISLG Rebuild Timeline
Hello all,
This message is meant to provide you with an update on the proposed timeline for launching the rebuilt ISLG. Here is a Google Doc outline the proposed timeline: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IDPv8MDny96vOU2FL55M_NT_O9fk2-e8dNsG8-6qxZQ/edit#heading=h.gjdgxs.
The goal is to release the new ISLG for the IBA Arbitration Day in Montreal on 14-15 March 2019. I am proposing that we launch the new ISLG while maintaining the old ISLG to give users the opportunity to transition to the new platform at their own pace. The transition period will be 6 months. I am optimistic that users will transition quickly to the new platform, because it will represent a significant enhancement to the product offering. However, I believe a transition period is necessary to ensure we do not alienate existing users.
We are scheduling a delayed released of the new legal analytics tools. These tools will require a significant amount of data capture by ISLG's content team, which cannot be performed until the admin site is up and running. As a result, we are scheduling the release of these tools in a separate module in June 2019.
Please review the timeline, and provide your comments as necessary in the document itself or in replies to this message. After we've developed some discussion and finalized the timeline here, we'll schedule a call to kick-off next steps in the project.
Thanks,
Morgan

This looks good to me. It might be good to consider having Anil's team investigate how they'll migrate content sooner because this could impact the admin side requirements. I think ideally, the pdf conversions would be able to maintain the analysis that has been done on the pdfs through the codes you currently use (I think you mentioned that you don't plan to re-do the analysis). Perhaps this has already been investigated.
The only other thing we may want to carve out time for is the UI/visual design that Mel would do and Kev could implement.
Thanks,
Stef
I completely agree. The migration of existing data from the old to new ISLG is a huge issue that we need to address. We also need to consider who we will perform daily reverse migrations back to the old ISLG from the new ISLG to maintain the old ISLG during the 6 month transition period.
Adding the UI/Visual design to the timeline sounds good to me. Please feel free to add this to the Google doc as you see fit.

I suggest that we identify all that which need to be part of the Beta and then work backwards on the timeline. Can we all do couple brainstorming sessions on GTM soon?
Thanks for the note above. Understood. Let's schedule a call as soon as possible. Does Tuesday or Thursday morning at 8am Vancouver time work for everyone? The following people should be on the call:
Thanks,
Morgan
Tuesday Sept. 4th or Thursday Sept. 6th at 8am PST / 11am EST works for us.
Thanks,
Stephen
Morgan
Sorry - Mel and I now have a conflict on Sept. 4th at 8am PST / 11am EST.
We are still available on Thursday Sept. 6th at 8am PST / 11am EST.

In preparation for the call at the top of the hour, please see the updated timeline: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IDPv8MDny96vOU2FL55M_NT_O9fk2-e8dNsG8-6qxZQ/edit. We can make further adjustments after the call. Note that I've changed the settings so that anyone can make edits. Please any changes in suggestion mode.
Thanks,
Morgan
Thanks for the call. Could you please provide us the prototype link and video for today's call. We will start reviewing the prototype from tomorrow and will provide you the estimated development time by mid of next week.
Hi
Here's the recording. I'll be out of the office tomorrow morning but if you send me questions, I will answer you in the afternoon. If you need to talk again, let me know.

Above link is asking for password. Please provide us the same.
We have started reviewing the new prototype and completed Dashboard, Subject Navigator, Article Citator and Jurisprudence Citator. So far we have following questions:
3: Essentially, any document will now show you all articles cited in that document (article Citator) and all others cases cited (this will take you to the pinpoint reference for where this appears) in that document and all other cases citing that document (this will open a separate document). Feel free to watch the video back - we go over it in that video. Be sure you're viewing it in this version: https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/4PNWB2Y7X9D#/screens/318236526
4: Parties will just be a new piece of data added to that document. Parties are the countries for which this treaty/rule apply.
5: Please be sure you're viewing this prototype when looking at cards. The one from the usability test is old, but essentially we will be putting all of the related dispute documents as links on the cards. https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/4PNWB2Y7X9D#/screens/318259866
