Knowledge Center Content
Hi
Morgan
,
We wanted to provide you with the outline of content that we created for the knowledge center to help your team plan for this over the next coming weeks. Our plan was for Industrial to only finish the key articles for new features that may be tougher for your team to write out such as Session Tracking ("How to track time in ISLG to a session "), Notifications ("How to start receiving notifications"), and ISLG Report articles ("Understanding Individual vs. Comparative Reports ").
We can also be available for any additional support your team may need as well to write these!
This was the original plan for that content for your team to be aware of:

Thanks for the outline above. Understood regarding the highlighted sections, and who needs to do what. However, could you confirm the status of all the non-highlighted sections. Are all these sections outstanding?
Thanks,
Morgan
Yes those articles are outstanding and are yet to be written.
Thanks,
Naomi
Morgan
Just wanted to check in regarding the status of the knowledge centre content.
I'm not sure your team will have much time to dedicate to this ahead of launch. Would you like us to do some additional articles to cover pages linked to directly from the application? We would focus on providing at least overview content for these key pages.
Also, we recommend that we get anything with an existing draft into the website and they can be reviewed and updated within the CMS.
If this sounds good to you, I will provide you with an updated list and provide links to articles to be reviewed within the CMS.
Mel
Yes, time is going to be limited on our side to get this work completed. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. However, I'm conscious of budgetary constraints. Perhaps you could workout with
Note I have the following articles pending my review:
Thanks,
Morgan
Just updating per our call this morning that the knowledge centre has been updated with all the written articles, links and text added on category/sub-category pages and dead links removed until the articles are written.
Thanks,
Naomi
Morgan
I noticed that the following section is missing a section on the Jurisprudence Citator: https://new.investorstatelawguide.com/knowledge-centre/home/getting-started/understanding-the-research-tools/
Also, could we switch the order according to how they appear in the application:
Morgan
I've updated https://new.investorstatelawguide.com/knowledge-centre/home/getting-started/understanding-the-research-tools/ to add a section for JPC and re-ordered it according to how they appear in the application.
Further to the outline
Thanks,
Morgan
I've talked this over with Naomi and we can certainly accommodate this. We will plan to 15 hours over the course of the month to write these articles and set aside 5 hours for DevIT support and sprint planning meetings. If we get to the last couple days of the month and haven't used the 5 hours for support, we will continue to write articles.
It would be super helpful if you could indicate which articles are high priority for you, and we can start there.
Savannah
Thanks,
Morgan
Following up on above, I've bolded the section that we should focus on next. Let me know if you need any further direction to get started.
Thanks,
Morgan
At this point I think I have all I need to get started. I will tag you in the written articles for you and the team to review.
Thank you,
Naomi
Morgan
Now that we're building out content again within the Knowledge Centre. How difficult would it be to create a keyword search to search through the various articles in the Knowledge Centre?
Thanks,
Morgan
I've asked our development team about this and will get back to you with a rough estimate.
Savannah
We would have to build the keyword search to search within custom fields in knowledge centre content type. Typical keyword searches only search through gutenburg editor fields.
There is a plug in called Revelanssi that looks promising:
https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/
We estimate that it would take approx. 27 hours to implement this. Possibly a few more if you were interested in adding filters as well.
If you'd like to chat this through more, I can schedule a call with our team.
Savannah
Morgan
What plugin do we currently use for our Knowledge Center?
-Martin
Following-up on my question above.
Thanks,
--Martin
We don't use a plug in for search right now as there is no search capability on the marketing website as it currently is.
I am interested in knowing the plugin used for the Knowledge Center.
Thanks,
--Martin
I've confirmed with our developer that, in general, we did not use a plug in for the knowledge centre. Please let me know if I am misunderstanding your question.
Savannah
Would it possible to update of the content headings above to get an inventory on what's still missing from the Knowledge Center?
Thanks,
Morgan
Please see the updated list above.
Thanks,
Naomi
I've highlighted the section in yellow for us to focus on next.
Thanks,
Morgan
Following up on above, given what you've learned about how the Knowledge Centre is setup within the CMS is it possible for us to easily integrate a keyword search that would generate results based on the article titles and text in the articles?
Thanks,
Morgan
I would like to spend a few hours trying to make the Search work, but I am unable to add a plugin even though I have Administrator access.
Thanks,
--Martin
Unfortunately, we cannot give access from the Wordpress admin panel to add plugins because our git repository would not be the same as the website version on production and that can result in conflicts.
In order for you to install a plugin, we would have to give you access to our git repository and and show you how to add plugins using composer install, commit your work, etc. We don't usually recommend this.
We can take a look at the plugin you are considering and potentially do the install for you.
