Marketing Site - Move to Wordpress

Hi Ketan Sondarva, Technical Project Manager at DevIT Ketan ,

As part of moving the ISLG marketing site to Wordpress we hope to expose some data from the application publicly:
  • Document Library (Document HTML and/or PDF text)
  • Analysis count (number of references for each research tool)
  • Master data subsets for:
  • Dispute documents
  • Treaties
  • Arbitration Rules
  • People 
  • Organizations
In order to achieve this we have identified two approaches:

  1. Retrieve required data from application database and display in Wordpress PHP
  2. Build these pages (public document library, people and organizations) as part of the application and link them to the Wordpress website
In order to plan our development work we have some questions to define our approach:

  • Is there a method for us to retrieve data from the database (API or otherwise)?
  • Can these pages be built as part of the application and exposed to public/non logged in users?
We’re looking for your feedback and recommendations to how this is best and most efficiently achieved based on the database structure and implementation.
