Requirements for ISLG backlog items 259, 1123, 1124 and 1126
Hi everyone,
Following up on the meeting that
Naomi
,
Martin
,
Paul
,
Nafiseh
and
Harsh
and I had today to address backlog items 259, 1123, 1124 and 1126, here is a summary of what was discussed and decided:
Following up on the meeting that
-
Backlog item 259 (basecamp to-do)
-
will proceed with writing requirements for making quick edits to analysis/tagging data as a separate backlog item
Naomi
-
will have
Harsh
perform tests to determine whether making minor edits to the HTML will affect existing analysis/tagging data presented in a document
Darsh
- Based on results of the test, we will determine whether to create a quick edit function for modifying the HTML text while performing analysis
-
will take this issue into consideration for the larger solution of providing admin users with full HTML editing capabilities within a published HTML
Martin
-
-
Backlog item 1126 (basecamp to-do)
-
will proceed with writing requirements for making the following modifications to the ability to identify and browse through tagged excerpts:
Naomi
- create a browse tags options that is available when the tagging modal is open (which will is available when the user opens the modal at any point in the document)
- highlight the relevant excerpted text in a distinct colour so that it can be easily identified and is distinguished from other overlapping tags
-
-
Backlog item 1124 (basecamp to-do)
-
will test and confirm that all SN tags are published when a document as a whole is published
Paul
-
will proceed with writing requirements for adding an option in the SN master tree branch action menu that allows the admin user to quickly edit whether the branch is active/inactive
Naomi
-
-
Backlog item 1126 (basecamp to-do)
-
will create a backlog item focused on performing an investigation of the slow loading times for rending HTML analysis tags.
Martin
- Assuming the slow loading times are because of the time needed to render the tags within the HTML, we agreed that the best solution will probably be a lazy loading tool that only loads the tags that are relevant to the HTML text presented within the reading pane.

Please add any comments or questions below.
Thanks,
Morgan
Thanks,
Morgan
I confirm that once a document is published, all SN entries also get published, thanks.
Note the action items highlighted above are outstanding.
Thanks,
Morgan
The "quick edit" and highlight functionality on overlapping excerpts have been added.
Thanks,
Naomi

Sorry I hadn't seen your previous comment in the story, I've added it to the same existing one: https://dev.azure.com/tologix/ISLGRebuild/_workitems/edit/1123
I hope that's alright!
