Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh Confirmed the fix was released on www.islg.

I did notice, however, that when I bookmarked both documents in Morgan's test, when clicking the 2nd bookmark in my notepad, I'm not taken automatically to the proper screen.

  1. Bookmark both documents
  2. Open the notepad and click the bookmark shown
  3. You're taken to the screen below rather than the document.
Note: If you click the first bookmark in the notepad, it works fine.

The initial issue identified in this to-do are resolved on www.islg. I wasn't able to recreate the problem identified by Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan . Note however that there is a few second delay between the page of results are selecting and when it scrolls down to the appropriate alignment. Perhaps we could speed this up to ensure this doesn't get confused with an error.

  2. Navigate to the home page
  3. Open the research details and click your bookmark. You'll see that items start to load on the page, but it takes approximately 4-6 seconds before the page is scrolled down to the bookmarked result "Burlington Resources Inc. v. Republic of Ecuador, ICSID Case No. ARB/08/5, Decision on Reconsideration and Award, 7 February 2017"

Hi Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan ,

We have seen above scroll down loading issue. Actually, After generating the result the scroll down to move its actual position. Hence, Based on large results, It will take around some seconds seconds to load the result and display on page.

We have tried and reduced to loading time near about 2 seconds on dev.islg. Now, It will take around 3 to 4 seconds scrolled down to the bookmarked result.

Hope this is fine

Thank you, Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh . I'm seeing an improvement now on dev.islg. Morgan, can you please test as well? I'd like to hear your opinion. I'm wondering if we should consider the loading screen here while everything gets loaded?

Hi Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan and Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

I'm fine with the speed, but I agree a loading indicator may make it clearer to users. However, I believe this may occur with a few different types of bookmarks, so we'd want to ensure this is consistent across the system. Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , would it be possible for you to easily identify where these loading issues occur and insert loading indicators across the system, or would we need to identify each instance and address them individually?

Thanks,

Morgan
Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

The loading indicator is developed separately for each tool because each tool has different method to display data on page. Therefore, It is not feasible to make the loader consistent across the system.

Please suggest.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Ok. Sounds good Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh . Let's fix it here, and then we'll deal with it on other places as it comes up.

Thanks,
