Problems with Keyword search when tagging - PRIORITY

Further to the video below, there are some problems with the keyword search when tagging document in ILG.

I see the dropdown arrow has been removed from the search field, but I don't see anything else changed. Could you explain what changes were made?

Note I was hoping for the following changes:
  • Ability to clear existing search results; and
  • Ability to use dropdown to select previously searched keyword(s).

Please consider following input from my end.

  • Ability to clear existing search results; 
It will be clear existing search results after removing characters and only two characters are available.

  • Ability to use dropdown to select previously searched keyword(s).
Please provide some information like, How we will preserve previously searched keywords, i mean it will based on user or document etc. If we will preserve all searched keywords than it will become long list in future so here we need to specify some criteria to select previously searched keywords.

Please provide your feedback.

Have you wrote requirement in the user story to get this issue resolved? if not please provide us so we will work on this To Do's and finish to do's as per our plan. We have priority to complete all assigned to do's.

Reading through the criteria on this user story (https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/RestUI/Board.aspx#page=board/5661532064567160038&appConfig=eyJhY2lkIjoiNTBFODBFN0M1RkNFMDJDREQ3MjFFRjYwM0NFNzdGQUQifQ==&searchPopup=userstory/9914) and testing this functionality again, the clear seems to be working as originally specified:

"I can stop using this feature entirely by deleting what's inside the input field
  • The current and total number of occurrences should no longer be visible
  • The arrow icons should be disabled"

Please see attached video for the current behaviour. Will this suffice? Or you would also need criteria regarding previously inputted searches in this field?

I don't like how you need to delete all the characters to clear the search. My expectation (and this applies to all search fields across both ISLG and ILG) is that fields have a clear button similar to what you see with a Google search:



This will allow the user to quickly clear the search and type something new.

Forcing the user to delete all the characters is cumbersome.

Ok. Thanks Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi . Is this behaviour consistent across the searches in all the applications (ILG and ISLG)? I want to avoid implementing this on an ad hoc.

I have added a note to the attached user story, with a spreadsheet of the searches within ILG that require this "clear" option linked to the card.

As you know today we are releasing Admin side feedback and To do's, We have implemented based on Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi  provided user story and inserted comment in Targetprocess with accepted development criteria. Please check it and make this To do's as a completed.
