Admin site development
Hello all,
Further to the call earlier this week, could I get an update on how we're progressing to get the development on the admin site started. A new developer and QA resource are coming onboard next week (
Anil
can you please confirm), and I want them to have something to do.
Melissa
and
Stephen
, when can we expect the admin management user stories to be ready for my review? Also, can you please give me a timeline on getting the HTML templates complete?
To give you some context to all this, I've attached the original timeline below that we finalized in August, and we are already a month behind. I know there have been some unexpected issues that have come up that caused delays, but we need to be conscious of keeping the project on schedule going forward.
Thanks,
Morgan

Sorry for the delay on this:
- User Stories: The Admin user stories are essentially ready for review. You should be able to view them here (in the Open column):
https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/restui/board.aspx?#page=board/5389754907359543952&appConfig=eyJhY2lkIjoiOUE0N0Y4RTQzQTFFRjk1NUU5ODhGRURFNzFFM0Q3NEUifQ==
(let me know if you have issues accessing this board)
- Mockups: we are targeting best-effort for next Friday Dec. 7th to provide you with mockups based on the screens discussed in the last call. If there will be delays on this I will give you a heads up as soon as possible.
- HTML templates: we are targeting Dec. 20th to have the Admin section templates discussed in the last call finalized, with various screens completed earlier.
- Development: I would assume the dev team should be able to get started on preliminary tasks already. Is that correct, or is something from our end blocking development at this point?
Thanks,
Stephen
Thanks for the reply above. I'll review the User Stories this afternoon, and provide and necessary feedback. Also, thank you for clarifying the targets for the mockups and HTML templates.
Morgan
Dec 20th is fine for HTML templates. Meantime we will work on SQL database designing once user stories will be finalize. Yes, we can delay additional developer and QA until January.

It appears these were based on old versions of the wireframes. I'm not sure if this is a product of changes not getting implementing before Stef's departure, but something to be weary of for the remaining user stories.
Also, could we prioritize getting the users stories related to the Subscribers wireframes complete and ready for review, because I think these give important context to the user stories above.
Thanks,
Morgan
In additional to the above, is everyone available for a call next Tuesday, December 11th at 8:00 Vancouver time?
Please confirm, and I'll send out a calendar invite with details.
Thanks,
Morgan
Tuesday 8.00 AM Vancouver time would be fine for us (I and Harsh).
Morgan
That works on our end.
Thanks,
Stephen
Morgan
I just sent out an agenda for the call next week, which includes a discussion on the user stories and wireframes above.
Also,
Thanks,
Morgan
In my message above I had mentioned that we would target a best effort to deliver mockups for tomorrow - Friday Dec 7th - however the team would like to take a bit more time to refine them. Instead we will have them for you on Monday, Dec 10th. I apologize for the delay
Thanks,
Stephen
Pushing it to the 10th is fine. However, let's ensure we're not pushing anything else back. We want to ensure the development team has everything they need before everyone breaks for the holidays.
Thanks,
Morgan
Please find the original user/subscriber stories here:

I am in the process of reviewing these to ensure they match our current requirements but they are available for you to view at any time.

We are unable to open above URL. Please see attached screenshot.
However,
Thanks,
Morgan
All the users stories we've written for the admin side so far are currently in the open column.
We plan to refine and move these to planned as features move to development. Is there something specific you are not finding?
Mel
I'm seeing the user stories below. Is that everything so far?
Thanks,
Morgan
I tried reconfiguring the team assignment - can you let me know if you can see more now?
Thanks,
Stephen
Morgan
I've reviewed all the user stories above, and added my edits and comments as necessary.
Thanks,
Morgan
We have started development of new ISLG rebuild application and we are waiting for HTML templates for admin section as we need it to develop interfaces.
Can we expect the templates today?
Morgan
Kevin is just finalizing his work and we’ll be uploading a zip file today.
You can preview the work so far here:

One comment on the following preview: http://tologix-islg-rebuild.s3-website.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/edit.html#
Could we ensure that we use a calendar selection app that allows the user to easily modify the year, because it will be common for admin user to select dates that are a number of years in the past. A good example is the one we're currently using on the front of ILG for filtering concession agreement dates ranges: http://www.infrastructurelawguide.com/Home/BrowseByTopic
Thanks,
Morgan
While the date picker we configured doesn't have a way of quickly changing the year in the popup dialog you are still able to manually change the year by highlighting the value in the text field and replacing it with whatever year you want as it still functions as a text field.
Right. However, I think this might not be intuitive to some users. It would be good if either option was available to them.
Morgan
All the components and interface elements as per designs should be available at the following links.

As mentioned by
Mobile styles are still pending, however this should be enough to begin development. I will provide a new stylesheet to replace the current one once the mobile styles are ready.
I have also attached the compiled HTML and assets for development.
Thank you for everyone's hard work this year. We've set ourselves up for an exciting year ahead!
Happy holidays and the best you and yours in 2019!
Morgan
Thanks for providing HTML Templates. We will look into this and start the development.
Happy holidays all of you !

Can we have a call to discuss this ? Please suggest.
I'm available for a call tomorrow at 8:15am Vancouver time. Does that work for you?
Morgan
I have a conflict. Anytime Friday works better for me.

Following up on our call this morning. Here is a link to a copy of the UIN Master List that is referred to in the ISLG Field/Data Capture Mapping spreadsheet: https://islg.egnyte.com/dl/kyEkBAaGlk. This is the offline document used to track and maintain all data that is eventually uploaded into the ISLG database (excluding Citator data, which is tracked through different DCD Master Lists). This is a copy of the working version, so don't worry about making edits to the documents. Please let me know if you have any questions.
As we mentioned during the call, this is a large spreadsheet, and there are a number of data fields that don't match up exactly with the way we've uploaded the data into the ISLG database (e.g., separating Case Names and Document Descriptions for dispute documents). However, how we want to data constructed in the new version of ISLG should be explained in the ISLG Field/Data Capture Mapping spreadsheet. I'll start working on mapping the meta fields to the current ISLG document database next week.
Thanks,
Morgan
Above link is now working. Following, I have attached screen shot for your reference.
Morgan
