TOLOGIX - ISLG App Rebuild

Duplicate Entries with no provision listed (UN/0332/03)(BIT/0619)

Assigned to
Martin Laporte, CTO at Tologix Martin L.
Notes
As you see in the attached video, there are certain pinpoint references under BIT/0619 (Protocol) that appear as duplicates on the analysis list with one entry having no provision listed. When I remove the one with no provision listed, the whole entry including the one with provision being listed disappears.

Could we please look into this as priority?

Thanks,

Nafiseh

Hi Martin Laporte, CTO at Tologix Martin :

I understand that it is Diwali, so let's look into this on Thursday when DevIT comes back.

Thanks,

I believe the issue is in the provision list for BIT/0619 and the app.islg site.

Here is a screen capture from app.islg Analysis in UN/0332/03, when Nafiseh selected BIT/0619, Provision (2) Protocol Ad Article 3(b)

It appears only once in the drop down menu. This is correct.

I checked the HTML source code for BIT/0619.  The source code for (2) Protocol Ad Article 3(b) appears once.  This is correct.

I checked the provision list for BIT/0619 on app.islg. The provision for (2) Protocol Ad Article 3(b) appears twice.  It was migrated from legacy this way.  You can see that the duplicate does not have the field filled out and the checkbox is not checked. This is correct.

Is it possible that the unchecked box is appearing under Analysis?  That somehow the duplicate provision name is being pulled when Nafiseh selects it from the drop down menu?
It would explain why under Analysis, the Provision field is blank for one of the entries.  (As the duplicate provision description is left blank in the Provision list field).

The issue for (4) Protocol Ad article 10(a) is a similar issue.

To understand, keep in mind that there is a
  • Provision code. See yellow highlight. This is the HTML ID tag that is pulled from the HTML to the provision list.
  • And a provision description. See green highlight. This is the description we enter in the field.

Provision code (4) Protocol Ad article 10(a) appears twice on app.islg provision list. This was migrated from legacy this way. A different provision description was entered into each field.
(4) Protocol Ad article 10 and (4) Protocol Ad article 10(a)

(4) Protocol Ad article 10(a) appears once in the HTML source code. This is correct.

Nafiseh selected from the Analysis Article Citator drop down menu, BIT/0619, Provision (4) Protocol Ad article 10(a) from the Analysis drop down menu. It appears once in the drop down menu.  This is correct.

I think the issue is that the duplicate provision codes are getting pulled when Nafiseh selects Protocol Ad article 10(a).  This is incorrect.  Provision description Protocol Ad article 10(a) should be getting pulled.

You see in the Analysis that the two different provision description fields (that are entered under provision Protocol Ad article 10(a)) appear in the Analysis tab for UN/0332/03.

Thanks,
Irit

Hi Irit Weinfeld Irit and Nafiseh Arghandehpour, Legal Content Manager at ISLG Nafiseh ,

As per your comment above, I have removed the duplicated provisions entries from BIT/0619's Provision List and Also from Analysis List.

Also, I have activated one entry for Provision 2 Protocol Ad Article 3(b) in Analysis list which removed as per Nafiseh's First comment video.

Please check and confirm.

Hi Nafiseh Arghandehpour, Legal Content Manager at ISLG Nafiseh ,

Seeing as how a duplicate provision was deleted, I think it would be best to delete the Analysis tags referring to (2) Protocol Ad Article 3(b) and (4) Protocol Ad article 10(a).  And then add them back again.

Paul Moon Paul , I already checked the Article Citator Master for all Dispute Document entries referring for BIT/0619 (specifically citing (2) Protocol Ad Article 3(b) and (4) Protocol Ad article 10(a)).  There are very few, however, they were affected. (I suspected they would be). They will likely need to be removed and added back.  Martin and I plan to talk to Harsh tomorrow before making any changes.

Thanks,
Irit
