Thanks Paul Moon Paul . A couple of questions in red text for some of the fields listed above:

Treaties & Rules
  • Don't we have this information for some BITs? Are suggesting we wait to present this information until we have collected across all treaties?
    • Date of Conclusion / Signature
    •  Date of Entry into Force

Disputes
  • Place of Arbitration - Place of Arbitration: Province/State
    • Haven't we collected this information as part of our data capture process? Why wouldn't we display it?
  • Legal Analytic Details - Procedure - Counsel/Expert(s) Challenges
    • Why aren't we displaying this information? Didn't we capture this data?
Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan :
  • Treaties: I shouldn't have included "Rules" on my list above (crossed out now) since all Arbitration Rules are showing those dates correctly. Since "Treaties" and "Arbitration Rules" are two different Master Lists on the rebuild admin site, my comment above applies only to "Treaties." We specify the date of conclusion and the date of entry into force in XML placeholders for BITs and FTAs, but we never captured that information anywhere else especially when we XMLed an instrument. I do not see any dates for BITs on rebuild.live.
  • Place of Arbitration - Place of Arbitration: Province/State: we didn't capture Province/State other than "Washington, D.C." We have been capturing "Vancouver, Canada" and "Toronto, Canada" without "BC" or "ON."
  • Legal Analytics Details - Procedure - Counsel/Expert(s) Challenges: as of now, it is incomplete at best, since experts, unless a legal expert who appeared as counsel/tribunal member elsewhere already, couldn't be entered under this section because no expert is on "People" list currently. I had to advise analysts to skip entering damages expert challenges a few times. We would have counsel challenge information, if any but very rare, so we may want to consider deleting "Expert(s)" from the section title if you want to display any information currently entered.
Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Understood. I guess the first two points will be projects to complete post-launch.

Re Counsel/Expect Challenges, if you're confident that we've covered all the counsel challenges, would you feel comfortable if we changed the field to "Counsel Challenges"?

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan :

Yes, I would feel comfortable changing that section to "Counsel Challenges."  One question: once we eventually capture expert challenges, would we need to create another section or would we be able to simply change the section back to "Counsel/Expert(s) Challenges"?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul Moon Paul ,

Ok. Sounds good. I've made the changes on rebuild.investorstatelawguide.com.

We could that if it makes more sense to treat these as separate fields.
