Further to the video below, if the admin user makes modifications to the text in the Branch Text field and then selects "Select from master tree" to select the applicable parent branch, the modified text gets erased and replaced with the auto-generate text (i.e., Dispute Document Short Title). Any modifications to the branch text field should be maintained.
Also, further to the second video below, if the admin user decides to change the referenced dispute document through the Quicklinks menu when accessing the reference through the Master Tree, currently, selecting the new document causes all the text in the Branch Text filed to be replace with the new Short Title. This shouldn't happen, the existing text in the field should be maintained and the new Short Title should be inserted into the beginning of the text.
Note I also experienced an issue with the pills in the Quicklinks menu that should be investigated and resolved.
This is a regression issue that was previously dealt with in UAT. I've logged a bug, and linked the bug to the previously resolved bug that relates to this. For 1st Video, We will do like when you come back from tree then existing branch text will be maintained.
For 2nd Video, We will append the new short title in existing branch text while user select quick link. But as you mentioned that you just want to replace only short title with new one.
Actually, Once you saved any branch text it will be stored as whole branch text (For Ex. Short Title - Test ). Now you edit the Document reference branch and select new quick link then we will append the new short title with already existing branch text (For Ex. New Short Title Short Title - Test).
We are not able to replace the old short title because it was already saved as whole branch text. Technically, We can not identified which part are short title or which part is manually entered text.

As we discussed this morning, we'll forego the replacement of the short title within the Branch Text field. The change will simply insert the newly select short title at the beginning of the field, proceeded by any existing text within the field.

Further to my comment above, do we need to do anything within TargetProcess to ensure this change is recorded and put into the Backlog?

This Change has been done on rebuilddemo.islg and move the story in UAT state.
Note that user story 16288 is still in blacklog, so I will keep this to-do open.
