Further to the video below, we still need to determine the requirements for how the new login pages are getting display (i.e., page where user select new/old application), but this page needs to be reviewed:

Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah ,

Further to the video below, a few feedback items on this page:
  • Please add all the necessary copy (including all relevant slides) to ensure we have an accurate representation of page.
  • Please condense everything so that no scrolling is required on a screen with 1680 x 1050 resolution.
  • Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi and Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa , please examine what modifications can be made to ensure no scrolling is needed when viewed on a mobile device (perhaps removing the slides).

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

No problem. Naomi is writing out some requirements for our dev and I will let you know when we've finished implementing them.

Hi Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah ,

Are you sure the link above is correct, because I don't see a difference between this and the old version?

Hi Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa   and Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

It just came to my attention that we'll want to create a modified version of the page above when users are accessing the system via auto-IP. We will want to disable the "Always go to the new version" check-box, to ensure a individual user doesn't change the settings on the group account. These settings will need to be manually changed by an ISLG admin users. Could you please add these to the requirements within the relevant TargetProcess user stories.

Savannah Mitchell, Project Manager at Industrial Savannah , I'm not sure if a modified version of the page is needed for auto-IP users. Also, I assume the CSS above was sent directly to DevIT, because they are not on this thread.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

As the existing story was already "In Testing" in TargetProceess, I created a new card that specifies the behaviour of this page for Auto-IP group subscribers. Please review and let me know if any modifications should be made: https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/entity/20938-beta-vs-production-versions-greater-post

Note: I will be linking criteria for "Login to Personal Account" to this story for additional context once it is written.

Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

Sounds good. However, perhaps we should modify the requirements slightly to tie things explicitly to the settings within the user account details and the "Can access both versions of the application" field for groups and users. For example, we should ensure the requirements state explicitly that selecting the checkbox causes the "Can access both versions of the application" to become "No" for that user, which then affects whether the application choice page is presented to the user:

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

I'm have added a few more links to the 'Groups > Beta/Existing Application' & Users > Edit User > Beta vs. Existing Application' cards in the above story for added clarity.

I'm not sure if selecting the checkbox for 'always go to new version' should change the toggle setting on the admin side, rather should just hide the post login page and direct those users automatically to the new version. The reason for this is that we are offering users who have selected the checkbox the ability from within the app to login to the existing version (https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/entity/17984-beta-vs-production-versions-greater-in). Users may check this box to no longer see the interim screen, but may want to access the existing version sometimes while both versions are being maintained – so this way we are offering them a choice even though it won't be as prominent.

Please confirm if this approach is alright with you or requires modification.

Thanks,

Naomi

Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

I suppose that's ok. I'm just concerned how that's going to be implemented from a technical perspective.

Also, will there be any way for us as admin users to monitor who has selected 'always go to new version' as admin user if we set it up this way?

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

There wouldn't be a way to see which user has selected the checkbox in the post login screen, however the session details for the user or group would display if the sessions are occurring in the legacy or beta application so you would have access to see which application users are choosing in that sense.  (https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/entity/20823-synching-user-data-between-beta-and).

Ok. Sounds good, Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi . Because this increases the priority of tracking usage between legacy/beta, I've deleted the line in the requirements that makes tracking app version "nice to have".
