Hi
,
Naomi
I uploaded the PDF and HTML for Treaty BIT/1379 on app.islg. I then grouped it with BIT/0065.
I changed BIT/0065 from Primary language to Alternate language by making BIT/1379 Primary language.
The issue: Treaty references were not transferred to the new Primary language document. Meaning, existing references to the original UIN (BIT/0065) were not transferred to the new UIN (BIT/1379).
My understanding is that when documents are grouped, Treaty references are transferred to the new Primary language document.
Screen capture from app.islg. Treaty references are still referring to BIT/0065 (Alternate language).
Thank you,
Irit
Yes your understanding is correct. This might be an obvious question, but when asked if you should "Make primary & copy references" or "Make primary without references" did you select the option to copy references? I'm not sure why they wouldn't have copied over otherwise!
Thanks,
Naomi
I recall having a discussion about this issue when we were finalizing the requirements. Due to technical limitations, it was determined that automatically transferring over the references from one document to another had significant risk (e.g., there might be differences in the paragraphs IDs). As a result, if changes to the primary document are made, any references to that document will need to be manually transferred over to the other document.
Note I'm assuming the easiest way to do this would be directly through the Article Citator Master list, rather than making the changes within the individual HTMLs of the dispute documents.
Thanks,
Morgan
