Further to the video below, there is a problem with where Peers are added within a branch. Rather than getting inserting at the top of the branch as they are currently, peers should be added directly below the branch in which they are inserted.

Looking back on the criteria for this, it seems we had this discussion and DevIT said there were technical limitations around having peers be added directly below the branch. (See the conversation in the thread here: https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/restui/board.aspx?#page=bug/13649). 

It seems the implementation of adding peer branches to the top was due to that limitation, relating to the re-ordering functionality. 

Let me know please, if we should re-open the discussion with DevIT or if this will be okay.

Yes, we discussed this issue at length last week: Re: Problem with adding Peer branches to trees in both ILG and ISLG - TOLOGIX - Infrastructure LawGuide (ILG) and during our meeting last Thursday.

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh confirmed that we should be able to implement the following:
  • Adding peer = new branch is added directly below the branch where it is added.
  • Adding child = new branch is added to the top of the next level below where the branch is added.
Please adjust the requirements accordingly in the user stories, and we'll get things implemented in the weeks ahead.
