TOLOGIX - ISLG App Rebuild

Problem with Analysis List

Assigned to
Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa C. Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi J.
Notes
Further to the video below, there are a few issues that need to be resolved:
  1. Ensure that exported spreadsheet of analysis data does not truncate the Parent Branches, so that these can be easily read and identified for the purpose of uploading data to the legacy application.
  2. Creating links in the Branch Text field that connects admin users to the branch in the Subject Navigator tree.
  3. Make the Analysis List table width expandable and the column size adjust accordingly
Issue #1 is high priority and needs to be resolved before launch. Issues #2 is high priority task that should be resolved shortly after launch. Issue #3 can be resolved post-launch as a lower priority task,

Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa and Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi can you please write the relevant user stories within TargetProcess. Please put the user stories #1 in the Backlog and user stories #2 and #3 in Open.

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

I have logged issue #1 here: https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/entity/20917-islg-team-feedback-greater-fixes-to. It is currently in the backlog

For the second issue there is a means to search in the subject navigator tree by UIN to see where dispute documents are located within the subject tree, see video below.
That being said, I can create a card to alter the requirements so clicking the paragraph number in the analysis list tab will bring you to the SN tree anchored to the document reference branch, instead of the document view anchored to the paragraph tag as is currently specified if that is preferred.

#3: Has been logged here https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/entity/20922-islg-team-feedback-greater-increase-width and is in open status

Great. Thanks Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi . I've reassigned this to-do to Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh for implementation of issue #1. Ketan Sondarva, Technical Project Manager at DevIT Ketan , please take note that it's critical that we resolve this issue so that we can easily export data and upload it into the legacy application.

Regarding issue #2, that's great we have that searching ability ( Paul Moon Paul take note). However, I still think it would be useful to connect directly to the applicable branch from the Analysis list. Could you please write the requirements and put the user story in Open status?

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

Okay understood for issue #2.

One last question before I write any criteria, for the sake of consistency it would be best if this change applies to the other research tools as well. For example, if you select pa2 from the Article Citator dropdown in the analysis list, you'll be brought to that reference in the master tree. Will this be okay? Or you prefer this behaviour only in the Subject Navigator?

Thanks,

Naomi
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

You're right. We should keep it consistent across the different tools. Perhaps we create different links for each type of reference. For example, this what could be created for the Article Citator:
  1. Selecting the paragraph takes the user to the paragraph within the HTML document:
  2. Selecting the instrument takes you to that instrument branch within the Article Citator master list:
  3. Selecting the provision takes you to that provision reference within the Article Citator master list:
We would create similar links across all the different tools within the Analysis List.

Note that the loading times within the Article Citator (I can't open branches within the Article Citator tree on the admin site) are preventing me from providing further screenshots (which is very concerning).

Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

The user story above looks good. I inserted a comment to clarify one detail.

Also, Paul Moon Paul has noted that the search by UIN in the Subject Navigator you illustrated in the video above does not work on rebuild.islg.

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , why is this search working on rebuilddemo.islg, but not on rebuild.islg?

Thanks,

Morgan
Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

We haven't set up the Contegra Indexing for rebuild.islg. As the FTS module development in progress. We will set up the all 3 indexes to rebuild.islg once the FTS module will be completed.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Right Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh . I understand that applies to the Subscriber side, but is the Contegra indexing being used for the admin site Subject Navigator master tree search as well?

Thanks,

Morgan
Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
No Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan .. It is not using admin side.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Right Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh . Well, that's where we're having a problem. We've attempted to perform the search in the admin site demonstrated in Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi 's video above on rebuild.islg, and it doesn't work. Could we please get that resolved.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

Just noting that the associated cards in TargetProcess has been created, and this item can likely be triaged and moved to a different list.
Morgan Maguire, CEO
Ok. Sounds good, Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi .

I'm going to keep this to-do in this group, because there are a few items that Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh needs to resolved before we launch including:
  • Ensure that exported spreadsheet of analysis data does not truncate the Parent Branches, so that these can be easily read and identified for the purpose of uploading data to the legacy application.
  • Resolve issue with Subject Navigator master tree search within Admin site.
Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan ,

In this task, Admin Side SN Search will take time due to Action menu's all popup rendering with  Search perform. Also, there is an JS file issue which we will discuss tomorrow with Industrial team.

Target Process card no. :
