Currently, every dispute has Experts field as shown below.

Once an admin user expands the Experts option, one can insert information as shown below.

There are currently 9 different expert types available.

We need to retain the existing experts data by changing the label with "(Old)" inserted.

And we need to create a new "Expert" field with the following subsequent prompt (like legal analyst) after a new expert is chosen from the existing People Master List. Similar to how Counsel is currently captured, the expert's organization option should also appear.
  1. [Mandatory]"Expert acting for": (a) Claimant; (b) Respondent; (c) Tribunal/Committee/Court; (d) Other/Unknown
  2. [Mandatory] Once "Expert acting for" is filled out, the next field appearing should be "Type of Expertise" with the following options: (a) Jurisdiction; (b) Merits; (c) Damages/Financial; (d) Industry Sector.
       [Mandatory] (a) "Jurisdiction" should have the following sub-categories:
       (i) Domestic Law; (ii) EU Law; (iii) Public International Law; (iv) Treaty Interpretation;
       (v) Other
       [Mandatory] (b) "Merits" should have the following sub-categories: (i) Public
       International Law; (ii) Respondent State Law; (iii) Third State Law; (iv) Treaty
       Interpretation; (v) Other
       [Mandatory] (c) "Damages/Financial" should have the following sub-categories: (i)
       Forensic Analysis; (ii) Quantum; (iii) Other
       [Mandatory] (d) "Industry Sector" should have the following sub-categories: (i)
       Cyber Issues; (ii) Environment; (iii) Oil & Gas; (iv) Mining; (v) Telecommunication;
       (vi) Transportation; (vii) Waste Management; (viii) Other

   3. [Non-Mandatory] Once a new expert is entered with mandatory step 1 and 2,
       non-mandatory information field should be available for the following:
       (a) Supporting Team Members (text field); (b) Expert's Location/Address (text field);
       (c) Comments (text field).

Please let me know how long it would take to create this option under the existing Experts field.

Thank you.

Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , I have created backlog item https://dev.azure.com/tologix/ISLGRebuild/_workitems/edit/2257 in Devops. Can you put an estimate on it before our sprint planning?

Hi Paul Moon Paul , I have moved the item up in the backlog for visibility. Feel free to adjust the priority.

Hi Piyush Kanpariya, DevIT Piyush :

From what I can see on staging.islg:
1. There is no field to type in an expert's name - there should be an Expert field which prompts the rest starting with "Expert acting for" that appears already;
2. Each Sub Categories shouldn't allow admin users to add more options (it should be restrictive); and
3. Under Industry Sector, "Transportation" is missing.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Piyush Kanpariya, DevIT Piyush

1. Please change "Expert acting for" to "Expert retained by."

2. Please see video below.

After the fix, EXPERTS on the app.islg admin site should look like the following:

Expert (Old) - it shouldn't appear on app.islg live site

Expert (a new field you will need to add which should be a condition precedent for "Expert retained by" to appear) - it should appear on app.islg live site
   Expert retained by
      Type of Expertise
         Subcategories
         Supporting Team Members
         Expert's Location/Address
         Comments

Thanks

Hi Piyush Kanpariya, DevIT Piyush :

It looks good on staging.islg. Please deploy to app.islg. Please also ensure that when you deploy it, the existing expert data on app.islg isn't affected.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh :

I see the revamped Experts field on app.islg admin site, but it looks like existing entries that we had are wiped out. As I mentioned above, any pre-existing entries should've been retained as below with "(Old)."

For example, I added expert data for IC/0605 sometime in November, but when I go into IC/0605 now, I do not see any old expert data. Please restore the data that disappeared.

Thank you,

Paul
