Notes
Issue:  A Treaty marked as "Alternate" appears on Rebuild Live Site, Research Tools, Article Citator menu. Anything marked as "Alternate" (meaning, not marked as "Primary") should not appear on the Rebuild Live Site, Research Tools, Article Citator menu.

Example: BIT/0674 Czech and Slovak Federal Republic (Czech Republic and Slovak Republic) - Germany BIT (1990), Protocol and Exchange of Notes [German] is marked as "Alternate" (not as Primary) however it appears on the Rebuild Live Site under Research Tools, Article Citator.

Hi Melissa Cowell, General Manager at Industrial Melissa and Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

Further to the issue above, is there something we're missing in the requirements, because I'm surprised this wouldn't have been captured in UAT?

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan

There seems to be an issue happening on rebuild that isn't happening on rebuilddemo. The original intention of alternate documents on the subscriber side was that they would only be visible by using the language toggle on the document view page. During UAT due to technical reasons we needed to allow alternate documents to be visible from the libraries as well and post-launch work on having them be hidden from the libraries (see comments in this bug for more details: https://industrialagency.tpondemand.com/entity/17996-alternate-version-not-available-in-dropdown)

That being said, alternate documents shouldn't be available to reference and therefore what is happening on rebuild where the alternate treaty was cited and appearing in the Article Citator shouldn't happen. See this video showing that the active alternate treaty in rebuilddemo doesn't appear when looking to make a reference as is expected.
Hopefully that helps clarify the expected behaviour of alternate documents prior to launch and confirm that there seems to be an issue occurring on rebuild that doesn't seem to be occurring on rebuilddemo.

Ok. Thanks Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi .

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , Looks like we have an issue that is specific to rebuild.islg. Could you please investigate and resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan and Irit Weinfeld Irit ,

In migration data, We have used BIT/0674 as source document for Analysis and Tagging for dispute document UN/0169/02 (Antaris v. Czech Republic Dissenting Opinion of Mr. Gary Born [Redacted]).

Hence, This BIT/0674 will be visible on rebuild.islg under Article Citator tool. We have displayed all Arbitration/Treaty documents which are using for Analysis/tagging in Dispute Document.

Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

It looks like we have an issue with the migration data then, if you look at the legacy analysis data for UN/0169/02 in the Article Citator: https://www.investorstatelawguide.com/CoreComponents/ArticleCitator?docid=9279:

the data is correctly referring to the primary version of the document (BIT/0276). However, somehow this got switched to BIT/0674 when the data was migrated to the new application:

How did this happen?

Let's ensure this gets resolved and confirm that it did not occur with other documents.

Thanks,

Morgan

As Paul Moon Paul mentioned here, a similar issue occurred. The legacy app incorrectly cited BIT/0674 instead of BIT/0276. This will be fixed manually when we are given the go-ahead to make updates.

I will mark this to-do complete.

Thank you,
Irit
