Notes
Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

Dispute Document UN/0073/04 was published this morning. It had both PDF and HTML files.

Since publishing,
  • We are not able to create a draft version.  I receive this message when I click "Create Draft"
  • The PDF was showing an Error 404 message. This issue is resolved. Martin was able to add the PDF.
  • The HTML does not appear on the admin site or live site. The data capture for this HTML was complete. (Please note that the data under the Analysis tab has no issues).
Please see the last three rows of the Document History tab.  The Task Column is blank. Paul attempted to create a draft but was not able to:

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , are you able to retrieve the HTML from this morning?  In other words, the HTML that had text highlighted for Analysis.

Attached is the original HTML:

Thank you,
Irit

Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh and Piyush Kanpariya, DevIT Piyush ,

I have created task https://dev.azure.com/tologix/ISLGRebuild/_workitems/edit/1528 in DevOps to track this.

Also, note that both the HTML and the PDF files appear to have been physically removed from the app server, so I manually copied them back:
  • E:\ISLGRebuildProduction\wwwroot\Documents\HTMLFiles\UN-0073-04 [Spanish].html
  • E:\ISLGRebuildProduction\wwwroot\Documents\PDFFiles\UN-0073-04 - GLOBALNET v. Ecuador - PO5[Spanish].pdf

Can you explain what could have caused this issue?

Thanks,
-Martin

Thanks for this, Martin.

I am interested in seeing what the server looks like. Maybe you can show me tomorrow when we touch base?

Hi Paul Moon Paul and Irit Weinfeld Irit ,

What Piyush did is correctly rename the HTML document I re-uploaded on the server yesterday. The name of the HTML file was not matching database records.

This still does not explain why the files (both PDF and HTML) went missing yesterday, and why we have the strange Task entries in Paul's screenshot above.

Piyush Kanpariya, DevIT Piyush and Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh : please report back in this thread on Monday after you were able to investigate the root cause. Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I re-opened this to-do.  Martin Laporte, CTO at Tologix Martin had a question for Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh and Piyush Kanpariya, DevIT Piyush  about the root cause of this issue:

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
Hi Martin Laporte, CTO at Tologix Martin ,

I tried to found but I got that as exceptional case the PDFs and HTMLs file were not saved in folder.

so my question to Irit Weinfeld Irit   is this document you uploaded through app.islg ? Did you convert pdf to html through our app.islg Dispute Document module ?
Irit Weinfeld
Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

  • No. I did not convert the PDF to HTML through app.islg. The PDF for UN/0073/04 was Manually coded by CDS.
  • I uploaded the HTML document to app.islg on January 26th.
  • On February 17th, Nafiseh Arghandehpour, Legal Content Manager at ISLG Nafiseh Published the HTML.
  • Soon after this was Published is when the issue occurred with trying to create a Draft.
