Notes
Further to the first video below, we need to resolve the issue when an admin user is reactivating a user account that was previously active, and already has login credentials assigned to it. Currently, when the account is reactivated, the previous login credentials are valid again, while the user is also sent an automated email to activate the account with new login credentials. To resolve the conflict, let's change it so that the previous login credentials are no longer valid, and the user is forced to create new credentials through the activation email.

Further to the second video below, we need to deal with the issue that when you activate and active account, or edit an account and submit changes with the status set as "active", the system sends an automated email to the user to activate the account. This needs to be changed so that an automated email is not sent to the user when the status on the account has not changed, which will avoid the two scenarios above.

Hi Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan   and Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan ,

We have done two following changes on dev.islg.

Scanario - 1 : If user is already active and user have username & password,
The admin will update user data with "Active" status then system will not fire the activation mail. Only data will be updated in database with appropriate status.

Scenario - 2 :If admin will again reactivating the "Non-Active" user account,
The system will fire "Activation Link" email again to user. After that, user will be not able to login with old username & password and User should have to create new username / password with activation link.

Note: We have also done same changes for administration users and uploaded on dev.islg.

Please check and let us know the feedback.

Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh

The Subscriber flows are working well on dev.islg, however, for the Admin account I've run into a couple issues:

  • When deactivating rknuth+0528-admin I'm still able to login
  • When re-activating I didn't receive the activation email

Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

The changes for front-end users look good; however, I'm getting the same results as Ryan Knuth, Customer Support Manager at Industrial Ryan for admin users.

Thanks,

Morgan
