This to-do relates to this to-do: Integrate new trial account request and password management system - HIGH PRIORITY - TOLOGIX - ISLG Maintenance. Further to the video below, please remove same email restriction when an account has been archived.
We have removed the same email id restriction if an account has been archived on dev.islg. Please check and confirm.
But, In future, If any user request trail account with same archived user
email id and then after If admin will De-archive the user then duplicate
email id scenario will be happened and It may cause the problem when any user (from same email Id) try to access Forgot username/Forgot password.
Please suggest.
Ryan
I'm fine with the risk posed by the issue of de-archived accounts. This happens very rarely, and we will ensure this issue is avoided through our activation protocols.
This to-do is resolved, and we'll schedule this for migration when the other to-do's concerning the trial account activation process are complete.
I realized after posting the comment above that there's an additional issue concerning this to-do that needs to be resolved. Further to the video below, currently the Forgot Username and Forgot Password functions generate conflicts when two accounts have the same email address, and I understand why this would be when you have two active accounts, but there's no reason why this conflict can't be resolved if either of the accounts are inactive and archived accounts. Could we make adjustments so that when a Forgot Username and Forgot Password request is submitted by a user, the system is able to identify which accounts are active, and assuming only one account is active, will assign the request to the active account.
Thanks,
Morgan
We have made above changed and uploaded on dev.islg. Please check and confirm.
