Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi ,

Thank you again for the call yesterday.

I thought of another question for you.  How do I replace a Dispute Document PDF on app.islg?  For example, I'd like to replace the PDF for Dispute Document UN/0249/02 with an updated version.

On app.islg Admin Site, I don't see an option to replace the PDF.
I'm not able to edit or create a draft version for UN/0249/02 as the HTML has not yet been uploaded.  I receive this message when I try to create a draft version:  The Draft version is not created due to PDF or HTML file does not exists

In the legacy admin site, I was able to choose a file and then click "update".  The new PDF would replace the original version.

Thank you in advance,
Irit

Hi Irit Weinfeld Irit

For the first issue regarding switching the pdf of a document with analysis already on the HTML, the best way to do this would be to:
  1. Download the analysis list of the published version
  2. Upload the new pdf and convert it as part of a group with the published version
  3. Using the downloaded analysis list, recreate the analysis on the newly uploaded document
  4. Make the new document a primary (this will unpublish analysis on the first document)
  5. Publish the new primary document.
I know it's a bit of a work-around, however, this would be the best way to accomplish this for now without creating any new development requests.

As for the second issue relating to creating a draft of a pdf only document, this seems to be working correctly, at least on staging.
I wonder if this is something specific to that document you are working with, or if you could test this with a fresh pdf only document on the app.islg site to ensure this doesn't affect other documents?

Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi :

Thank you for this instruction. Here are my follow-up questions:

A. When we upload a new PDF, we have to use a new UIN and then make it part of a group, right? Or when things are fixed, we should be able to create draft (still unable to do so as shown in #4 below), and then be given the option to replace the PDF (still haven't seen this option anywhere yet)?

B. Is there a way to recreate analysis automatically or do we have to highlight the HTML again/insert SN entries under SN Master Tree under the new PDF?

C.  If I make the new PDF document (with a new UIN I assume) primary, it still doesn't resolve the issue of existing references to the original UIN. If I am able to create a draft and replace the PDF, would it be simply publishing the draft (I don't think this is what you're telling us to do)?

D. I am uncertain how you were able to do this in your video, but as shown below, I cannot create draft of PDF only document on staging.islg

Hi Paul Moon Paul

A. When we upload a new PDF, we have to use a new UIN and then make it part of a group, right? Or when things are fixed, we should be able to create draft (still unable to do so as shown in #4 below), and then be given the option to replace the PDF (still haven't seen this option anywhere yet)?

When you upload a new PDF you will be using a new UIN, and adding it to a group with the existing document. There currently isn't an option to replace the PDF as there is in the legacy version (this is why we would need to use the workaround) until this feature could be developed by devIT as it would be an additional request.

B. Is there a way to recreate analysis automatically or do we have to highlight the HTML again/insert SN entries under SN Master Tree under the new PDF?

There isn't a way to recreate the analysis automatically. Of course, another alternative to the above steps would be to provide devIT with the new PDF and they could replace it rather quickly, to avoid having to re-do analysis.
Another possible option would be to upload the new PDF as a PDF-only version and as part of the document group, so it is accessible on the front end. It could be labeled "[Document Name] - Updated" or something along those lines, so users could toggle back and forth between the HTML with analysis and the updated PDF?

C.  If I make the new PDF document (with a new UIN I assume) primary, it still doesn't resolve the issue of existing references to the original UIN. If I am able to create a draft and replace the PDF, would it be simply publishing the draft (I don't think this is what you're telling us to do)?

In the scenario I outlined above, if you add a new document to convert and re-create the analysis on, once you make that document the primary, the analysis on the previous (outdated) version will become inactive and not visible on the subscriber side. Those existing references would remain on those documents referencing it, but be visible only on the admin side – subscribers wouldn't see it. If you reverted those documents and made the first a primary again, then that analysis would be visible again, and the secondary document's analysis would be hidden. I hope that makes sense!

D. I am uncertain how you were able to do this in your video, but as shown below, I cannot create draft of PDF only document on staging.islg

I'm still not sure exactly what the issue is here, maybe Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh  could help with this. Could you say how that pdf was uploaded? I'm not seeing the PDF when you select the document text tab, and I'm not sure why but that seems to me that something is different with that PDF only document and the one I tested this with.

Thanks a lot for the clarification, Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi . Irit Weinfeld Irit and Nafiseh Arghandehpour, Legal Content Manager at ISLG Nafiseh , please take note of our current limitations outlined above re: inability to replace PDF. This should be dealt with post-launch.

It sounds like once the second issue we discussed today (unable to upload HTML when it has been initially uploaded as a PDF only document) is logged to TargetProcess and resolved by Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , the last question D would no longer be an issue.

Thank you again Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi for the details above and for your call.

Paul Moon Paul - noted.  I will continue to keep track of anything that will have to be updated post-launch.

Thank you,

Hi Paul Moon Paul ,

Just following up here on item D after a call with Harsh this morning. It seems the issue with creating a draft on UN/0273/05 was because this document was a migrated document that was pending HTML from the converter. On these documents, you won't be able to create a draft until the HTML has been added. This is why I was able to create a draft of a PDF-only document because these are considered different types of documents.

I haven't logged a bug related to the second issue, as if you do upload a PDF-only document and publish it, you can still create a draft version of this and upload an HTML document.

I hope that makes sense!

Thanks,

Naomi

Hi Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Naomi :

That explanation makes sense. So we should be able to create a draft of any non-migrated documents that was uploaded with PDF only or no PDF/HTML? We will experiment with new documents to confirm and get back to you if we have any issues.

However, the following 18 documents are migrated with PDF only and we cannot upload HTML, since we cannot create a draft.
| AF/0054/02
| IC/0192/118
| IC/0295/03
| IC/0538/02
| IC/0538/04
| IC/0538/05
| IC/0555/01
| IC/0565/04
| SC/0012/03
| SC/0012/04
| UN/0045/84
| UN/0183/11
| UN/0189/05
| IC/0192/124
| IC/0398/02
| IC/0499/13
| UN/0274/02
| UN/0283/01

This one document was migrated without PDF or HTML and we cannot create a draft.
| AF/0048/03

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh , could you upload HTMLs for the 19 documents above (as well as PDF for AF/0048/03 only), since we cannot do it? Please note there are 6 outstanding HTMLs that didn't come back to us yet, so I'll post them here again when they are made available to us.

Thanks,

Paul
Naomi Joanis, UX Team Lead at Industrial Sounds good!
Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
Hi Paul Moon Paul ,

You need to communicate with Morgan or Jitesh to provide above UIN's html files to me. then after i can uploade those html files on app.islg.
Paul Moon
Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh :

Sounds good. Irit Weinfeld Irit and I will compile them and send you the HTMLs.

Thanks,

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
Hi Paul Moon Paul ,

Please make sure those html has been passed through technical QC process by PDFtoHtml team.
Paul Moon
Hi Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh :

Here are 19 HTMLs and 1 PDF (AF/0048/03) that we need you to upload. As I mentioned above, there are 6 outstanding HTMLs that I'll ask you to upload later when they are ready.

Thanks,

Paul

Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT
Hi Paul Moon Paul ,

I have added Jitesh in this loop as standard Practice PDFtoHTML team is providing us html files. so please update to Jitesh for same. Otherwise it will be confusing to remain all in one page.

Jitesh Dhuravala, DevIT Jitesh , We will communicate in today's meeting and let us provide me the above html files.
Jitesh Dhuravala, DevIT
Hi Paul Moon Paul ,

You have given 19 HTML files to Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh for uploading to app.islg, but please note that we are also uploading batch wise HTML files in app.islg as suggested by Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan . Here I am a little bit confused as to how you can upload HTML without a batch marked in a spreadsheet. If we do such an exercise than it will not be trackable and the HTML will be available already when we upload the actual batch because you are giving Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh   without updating the spreadsheet.

Morgan Maguire, CEO Morgan and Irit Weinfeld Irit please provide your feedback so we can do proper batch upload as per planned or let me know if I misunderstood.

Thanks,
Jitesh

Hi Jitesh Dhuravala, DevIT Jitesh and Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh ,

Yes, we should be doing this through the batch uploading process. Paul Moon Paul if you need certain documents uploaded to the new application, please have Irit Weinfeld Irit assign them to a batch and then Jitesh Dhuravala, DevIT Jitesh and Harsh Parikh, Tech Lead at DevIT Harsh will upload them accordingly. We need to follow the process so we can track what's been uploaded to the system.

Ketan Sondarva, Technical Project Manager at DevIT Ketan and Jitesh Dhuravala, DevIT Jitesh , could you please confirm how many pages of content should be in each batch? And then Irit Weinfeld Irit can assign all completed documents to batches.

Thanks,

Morgan
